St Francis of Assisi
St. Francis above all, was a Friar for the Church. Christ asked him to “rebuilt My Church” - at first St. Francis misunderstood and actually started to rebuilt the Catholic Church there in his town. Only later, he understood and began his ministries and started the Franciscans.
Blessed is the servant who loves his brother as much when he is sick and useless as when he is well and an be of service to him. And blessed is he who loves his brother as well when he is afar off as when he is by his side, and who would say nothing behind his back he might not, in love, say before his face.
Our Services
The Catholic Church provides regular worship services, including Mass, where the faithful can participate in the Eucharist and receive the sacraments.
Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament and the gateway to the Christian life. It is the sacrament of initiation, by which a person becomes a member of the Church and receives the remission of original sin. Water is used as a symbol of purification, and the person is baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacrament through which an individual receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit. It strengthens and deepens the grace received at baptism, empowering the person to live as a mature and active member of the Church. The bishop or priest anoints the person with chrism (holy oil) and lays hands on them while invoking the Holy Spirit.
Eucharist
The Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper, is the central sacrament of the Catholic faith. It is the sacrament in which the bread and wine are consecrated and become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Catholics believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and through reception, they receive spiritual nourishment and union with Christ.
Reconciliation (Confession)
The sacrament of Reconciliation, also referred to as Confession or Penance, is the sacrament of healing and forgiveness. It provides an opportunity for individuals to confess their sins to a priest, receive absolution, and be reconciled with God and the Church. The priest acts as a representative of Christ in granting forgiveness.
Anointing of the Sick
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament that offers spiritual and physical healing to those who are seriously ill, facing surgery, or experiencing the frailty of old age. Through the anointing with holy oil and the prayers of the priest, the person receives the grace of strength, comfort, and forgiveness.
Holy Orders
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which men are ordained as bishops, priests, or deacons, and are consecrated to serve the Church and its members. Bishops are responsible for the spiritual leadership of the diocese, priests serve in pastoral ministry, and deacons assist in various ministries within the Church.
Matrimony
Matrimony is the sacrament of marriage, a covenant between a man and a woman, joined together by God. The couple exchanges vows before a priest and witnesses, and their union is blessed by God. Matrimony is seen as a lifelong commitment, and the couple is called to love, support, and sanctify one another.
